So much to do in Worcestershire... Which will it be?
1. West Midlands Safari Park – Drive time 45 mins
Fantastic day out with a safari drive through and then walking discovery trail with theme park rides, food and drink and so much more.
Locals tip: make sure you visit ‘Lorikeet Landing’ and pay a small amount for the nectar, amazing experience with birds landing on you to eat the nectar.
2. Black Country Living Museum – Drive time 1 Hour
A fantastic day out for the whole family. An open-air museum of rebuilt historic buildings in Dudley, in the centre of the black country. Meet the historic characters and experience over 250 years of history, from the industrial revolution to post war prosperity. Walk around the set used on Peaky Blinders!
Local’s tip: Plan for the whole day as the museum is large and there’s lots of exploring to do. Ticket price is slightly more than others however we think it’s worth it and your ticket is also valid for a whole year so you can return for free within 12 months.
3. Severn Valley Railway – Drive time 1 hour
Jump aboard the award-winning heritage railway. Travel the Severn Valley Railway on a vintage steam train through English countryside.
4. Family Boat Hire - River Severn – Drive time 25 mins
Enjoy a relaxing day out on the river with self-drive or skippered boat hire available.
5. Attwell Farm Park – Drive time 50 mins
Meet your favourite farm animals, more than 80 diverse species of animal waiting to be explored. Aberdeen Angus cattle, Alpacas, Sheep, Pigs, Emus and even the world’s largest spider!
6. Adam Henson’s Cotswold Farm Park – Drive time 1 Hour
Interact closely and meet over 50 breeds across 7 species of British farm animals. Rare breeds trail, food and drink and a farm shop.
7. Wittering SUP Stand-up paddleboarding school – Drive time 30 mins
Family run, ASI accredited SUP school based on the River Avon near Pershore. A fun day out exploring the river, on a hot summers day.
8. Churchfields Farm – Drive time 30 mins
5th generation family farm. Features animal paddocks, giant adventure playground, zip wire, go karts, fairy trail and more. Old Barn Café features farm produce including beef, award winning ice cream and Droitwich salt.
9. Go Ape Wyre Forest – Drive time 40 mins
Adventure activity venue where groups explore the forest canopy via a treetop rope course. Locals tip: If the whole group does not want to take part there is lovely walking in the forest where you can watch the tree top course and a great café too. A Gruffalo trail for the younger ones too.
10. All Things Wild – Drive time 55 mins
Fantastic family year-round attraction with animals, dinosaurs, soft play and much more to discover! Daily seasonal walkthroughs which may include Lemur walkthroughs, meet the farm animals, bug hunting and arts and crafts.
